I finally got the MAF Translator Pro hooked up and working in my 1987 Grand National. With the help of Tom Shea we got all the wiring issues worked out. Since this unit is on the bulky side and not easily mountable like a ScanMaster I figured I would share my spot for this thing. Since there are 16 wires (more if you run a wideband o2 sensor) you have to find a spot for all those wires. I went against the advice and put my passenger side kick panel back in. All of the wires connect to or very close to the ECM. The wires cause a bit of a traffic jam in an already busy area so forget about putting the curved top back on the ECM cover. You wont even notice its gone once everything is back together. What I did was pull the wiring thorugh the glove box and then zip-tied them together at certain points leaving one area open so I could lay the wires flat at that point (the point being where the wires are fully extended so you can lay the MAFTPro on your passenger seat). The flat spot works great when racing or tuning while driving since it allows you to close the glove box without marring up the dashboard in that area. The kick panel comes into play when you have the MAFTPro put away. You simply coil the wires back up and run them behind the glove box. Now the unit is sitting in the glove box and the wires are put away neatly behind it. Its easy to pull out and the amount of wires makes it easy to drop it on the floor when you hook up your laptop for data recording.
Below are some pictures of how I have it set up. Check back later if your running this unit and are in need of a .bin file for TunerProRT. I will be copying my files from my laptop and putting them here for download. I have also (yes I was bored) taken pictures of every category on the unit that you can modify (accept the actual setup screen).
