RAREST

The rarest GN that I am aware of is the 1982 model, with only 215 produced.  Please read on for more information on some of the rarest Turbo Regals producedby GM.  The article below has been submitted by Mr. Tom Shea, the MGNTA President.

The Turbo T, is also a commonly used reference to the 1987 TTYPE as well as the WE4. The TTYPE in 1987 was no longer called a TTYPE. It had a "T" badge on it instead. Therefore the "Turbo-T" references. This is further confused by the various publications that quote this information, and how they present it. You are required to read some of this very carefully in order to come to the correct numbers. Dennis Kirban and Steven L. Dove both have books out that have the information in them. Even these books must be read carefully to glean the proper information. There you can see that the term "Rarest" is in reference to non GNX cars. The previous sentence will state it clearly. The rarest non GNX, TR is the "Limited". The "Limited" TR was produced in 1987 only. IT was so special that it had it's own special separate VIN #. The 5th digit of the number had an "M" instead of the "J" that was the designation for the other T.R.s, including the GNX, GN, "T", and WE4-Turbo-T. The production numbers for the "Limited" were 1035. There is no available data to breakdown the number of them produced with the leather seats or the "Astroroof". As you can see the "Limited" at 1035 is much rarer than the WE4, Turbo-T at 1547.
